Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1770-$1820 PCU RN Job Details Location : Bloomington, Indiana (47408) – Indiana nursing jobs Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : December 9, 2025 End Date : March 10, 2026 Shift : Night shift, 12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30); options for either 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts per week Hours per Week : 36 or 48 (3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts) Healthcare Setting : 5E Acute Adaptable Unit (PCU / Stepdown / ICU level care) Patient Population : Adults and geriatrics Common Diagnoses : COPD, pneumonia (PNA), sepsis, UTI, CHF Charting System : Cerner Scrub Colors : Black bottoms, red tops Parking : Free onsite parking Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (IN or compact state; pending license accepted with willingness to obtain Indiana RN license / temp prior to start) Minimum 1.5 years of recent PCU, Stepdown, or Intermediate Care (IMC) experience (2 years preferred) Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred) Proficient in cardiac telemetry, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation, and titration of cardiac, vasoactive, and insulin drips Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs Comfortable working as charge nurse as needed Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required Two supervisor references required Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with varying acuity, from medical-surgical to ICU-level needs Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; manage and titrate cardiac drips Administer medications, manage central and peripheral lines, and perform acute interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy Serve as charge nurse when assigned, supporting unit operations and staff Float to other hospital units as required Accurately document patient care in Cerner electronic medical records Maintain infection control and isolation precautions Experience the best of Indiana nursing jobs in Bloomington—home to Indiana University, scenic trails, and a thriving arts scene.
