Snapshot of Your Day :

Perform a wide variety of welding required to weld the Generator core to frame / bedplate and to weld the Generator to the rail car.

How You’ll Make an Impact :

• Become familiar with all tools and equipment for core assembly.
• Build and assemble complete cores, torque and tension bolts, and hardware per drawings.
• Set up and operate welding equipment to perform GMAW (Pulse Mig). Set up and operate air-arc and manual burning equipment.
• Fabricate single item part pieces and non-permanent part pieces. Become familiar with all tools and equipment for generator core assembly.
• Perform fitting and assembly operations necessary to build and assemble complete cores, torque and tension bolts and hardware per drawings.
• Set up and operate robots, clean and detail cores. Build and assemble pressure plates and process all aspects of manufacturing service generator cores.
