Responsibilities
Own the strategic vision and execution roadmap for the retail vertical, aligning with overall business goals and market trends
Drive top-line growth through new business development, client acquisition, and expansion into emerging retail segments
Lead the development and implementation of go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and customer engagement frameworks
Oversee end-to-end operations including store performance, supply chain efficiency, inventory management, and customer experience
Manage the vertical’s financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and profitability tracking
Build and mentor a high-performing team across sales, marketing, operations, and support functions, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation
Collaborate with product, technology, and analytics teams to introduce digital solutions, automation, and omnichannel capabilities
Represent the organization in industry forums, client meetings, and strategic partnerships, positioning the brand as a retail thought leader
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, conversion rates, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency
Continuously evaluate market dynamics, competitor strategies, and consumer behavior to refine business plans and stay ahead of the curve
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred
Minimum 15+ years of experience in the retail industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large teams and business units
Demonstrated success in building and scaling retail operations across geographies, formats (offline / online), and customer segments
Strong understanding of retail business models, merchandising, supply chain, store operations, and digital transformation strategies
Proven track record of managing P&L, driving revenue growth, improving margins, and delivering business outcomes
Experience in leading cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, operations, and technology
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage CXOs, partners, and internal leadership
Proficiency in data-driven decision-making using retail analytics, CRM platforms, and performance dashboards
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
