The Loader Operator safely operates a large front-end loader (WA500) to load customer trucks in a fast-paced environment. They will also be responsible for managing sand / rock stockpiles and other tasks assigned by supervisors.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and manufacturer's instruction
- Perform pre-shift safety inspection on the vehicle systems, equipment and accessories
- Ability to track customer trucks, and to complete records and reports accurately
- Perform preventative maintenance on construction equipment
- Report needed repairs to Supervisor
- Ensure material is properly loaded according to safety requirements
- Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment
- Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
- Assist with operation of other equipment as needed
- Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations
- Perform duties with minimum supervision
- Participates in job and safety training as scheduled by the company.
- Assist the Plant Operator in monitoring plant operations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience requiredWorking knowledge of heavy construction equipment3 years of previous loader operator experience required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
