Job descriptionPerforms product design and modeling work for projects of limited scope using the preferred 3-Dimensional (3D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool and protocols. Uses technical judgment. Is considered the entry level design position. Implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions, under supervision, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design. Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to create engineering drawings for the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions. Develop testing standards and procedures under the direction of professional colleagues. Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data. Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents. Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure. Operate complex equipment and machines, adjusting diverse variables to achieve the best possible outcomes in terms of quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to simple and recurring inefficiencies. Extract relevant data from information provided by others, and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats. Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and / or procedures, referring complex issues to others. 2–4+ years manufacturing experience (particularly in metal CNC turning, milling, and grind operations) 2–4+ years experience in blueprint / model interpretation for manufacturing processes Knowledge of materials, heat treatment, and surface finishes / coatings for tools, fixtures, special machines Hands-on CNC machine programming experience Strong proficiency in : MS Outlook MS Excel MS Word MS PowerPoint Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 4+ years' of industry experience Strong knowledge of mechanical parts and computer-aided design
Job Description
Job Title : Tool Designer / Tool Room Master Coordinator Scheduler Planner
Duration : 24 months
- 1st shift, flexible start time (6–8 AM); must be consistent and work a full 8-hour day.
The ideal candidate will create, draft, and design product layouts and schemes using customer specification and recommendations.This individual will test products and make adjustments where necessary. Additionally, they will examine broken products and resolve issues for future designs.
