Accounting Manager

This Accounting Manager position is responsible for accounting activities related to month-end close and financial reporting, account analysis and documentation for BrightSpring Health Services Home Health and Hospice division operations with special emphasis on Joint Venture operations.

Responsibilities include :

• Managing accounting and month end close procedures for a group of joint venture home health operations
• Managing monthly entries for non-controlling entries in consolidation
• Reconciling management fees and intercompany expenses
• Providing ad hoc reporting for partners
• Assisting with quarterly, and annual audit requirements
• Reviewing and approving reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual items
• Preparing and reviewing business line specific accruals and journal entries
• Overseeing maintenance of systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and data
• Evaluating and making appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
• Maintaining relationships with internal and external auditors
• Ensuring that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records monthly
• Communicating key information to management
• Supervising accounting staff and directing work of others
