American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I or II trauma experience and proficiency in robotic and multiple surgical specialties.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Hospital Operating Room setting in a Level I Trauma environmentResponsibilities include both scrubbing and circulating during proceduresRequired to work 4-5 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule matrix covering day, evening, or night shiftsExpected to take 4-5 on-call shifts per 6-week matrix with 30-minute response timeFloating to other units as neededRequired to work at least one major holiday, which may fall on any shiftUses the DaVinci xi and DV5 robotic surgical systemsEpic charting system experience is heavily preferredPotential to provide care for COVID patientsPre-screen and manager interview required for final selectionCandidate modules must be completed prior to start and will require 5-6 hoursTeam preference is for RNs who are able to both scrub and circulate independently without need for refresher trainingAll requested time off must be submitted up front and is limited to a maximum of 7 days during the contractCandidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to receive the travel rateScrubs or dress code requirements were not specifiedFacility is tobacco and fragrance free\n \n Requirements\n
Active RN license for PA or compact state with no license hitsMinimum 3 years of recent operating room RN experiencePrevious travel nursing experience is requiredAt least 1 year of Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferredMust be proficient in robotic general, gynecology, thoracic, and urology surgeriesAbility to independently manage cases in specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, trauma, and thoracic (excluding cardiac / open heart)Experience with DaVinci xi robot required; familiarity with DV5 robot is a plusAHA or ARC certifications are requiredMust be tobacco and fragrance free for compliance with facility policy\n Benefits\n
