This is a hybrid role that requires some on-site work (inside our Indianapolis, Indiana office). In addition to the on-site duties, there are additional responsibilities that can be completed outside of the office, resulting in this being a hybrid role.

The Senior Salesforce Developer is a technical leader responsible for driving the architecture, design, and implementation of the most complex, high-impact solutions across the Salesforce ecosystem. This role requires mastery of both programmatic and declarative capabilities, leading major integrations, championing best practices (code quality, security), and mentoring junior developers.
You will learn how to be the expert to best serve our members :
- Define the technical design and architectural patterns for custom applications, complex integrations, and large-scale enhancements, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of high-complexity solutions using advanced Apex, LWC, and Flow features.
- Design, implement, and govern sophisticated system integrations (e.g., event-driven architectures) between Salesforce and critical credit union systems.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to Associate and mid-level Developers, conducting thorough code reviews and training sessions.

Define, champion, and enforce code quality, security, and testing standards (including unit test coverage) across the team's development lifecycle.Lead the creation of high-level technical documentation and architectural diagrams for major system components and integrations.Proactively evaluate new Salesforce releases, trends, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and future-proof the platform.Work with IT staff and partners to guide the security standards for the Salesforce platform and custom applications.Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational goals.You will help grow the business :
Proactively identify, analyze, and architect strategic opportunities to enhance the functionality and utilization of the Salesforce platform across all clouds, aligning technical roadmaps with the credit union's strategic goals.Lead the design and implementation of complex custom-built solutions, ensuring the use of advanced development tools to deploy dynamic content, deep personalization for members, and best-in-class user experiences for employees.Serve as the technical expert in monitoring platform changes or potential problems, assessing the comprehensive impact to the credit union, and driving proactive communication and mitigation strategies with team members and IT leadership.You will continue to grow professionally :
Participate in professional networks and education to inform and implement cutting-edge industry practices.Lead research efforts on platform enhancements, potential impacts, and benefits, collaborating with business units and IT leadership on implementation decisions.Continuously pursue advanced certifications to maintain expertise and drive team skill development.Minimum Requirements :
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 5-8 years of demonstrably progressive experience in Salesforce architecture, development, and / or administration. Expert-level proficiency in object-oriented programming (Apex) and modern web components (LWC).Proven experience designing and leading complex, bi-directional integrations using APIs.Salesforce Certified Platform or JavaScript Developer required.Proven ability to mentor staff, lead technical discussions, and drive consensus across multiple business units.Experience with database technologies (SOQL / MS SQL / Oracle) and complex data modeling.Experience as a technical lead or mentor for a development team.Experience with Azure DevOps preferred.Experience with incremental development using Agile methodology a plusBackground in the financial services industry preferred.Additional bonus compensation is earned in this role.
