Accountant
The Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring precision and integrity. This role is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Many responsibilities are related to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process as well as other ad-hoc projects. The Accountant collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable financial insights, and informs decision-making processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries, account analysis and review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyze monthly results; research and explain significant variations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and annual budgets
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and in compliance with internal policies and procedures requirements
- Communicate and enforce accounting policies and procedures within the company
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit including gathering audit evidence and preparing support schedules
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
