About The Position
Weekly Pay $55.67 / hour Occupational Therapist at Everest Rehabilitation Hospital
- Provide occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions to improve patients independence in daily living activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (PTs, speech therapists, nurses, physicians) as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals, progress, and home care strategies.
- Accurately document treatments and patient progress using the Rehab Connect electronic health record system.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and motivating therapeutic environment.
- Serve a caseload of 6 patients per therapist in a 36-bed unit.
- Treat common diagnoses such as stroke, general debility, and hip fractures using equipment like Lite Gait, walkers, Sci Fit, and treatment tables.
- Uphold the facility s core values : act with kindness, champion patient care, and make a difference together.
- Work a guaranteed 40-hour work week (day shift), including Saturday coverage, with no call or float requirements.
- Adhere to dress code (navy scrubs) and report to supervisor at 8 : 00 AM.
- Qualifications include a master s degree in Occupational Therapy, Texas OT license, BLS / CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience (inpatient rehab preferred).
