Truck Driver

Position Summary : We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-oriented Truck Driver to support well abandonment operations across California. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting equipment, materials, and fluids to and from remote well sites, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and environmental standards. This role is vital to the safe and efficient execution of plug and abandonment (PandA) activities and requires knowledge of oilfield transportation, load securement, and field logistics.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate commercial trucks (flatbeds, tankers, vacuum trucks, winch trucks, etc.) to deliver and retrieve oilfield equipment and supplies from well sites.
- Transport materials such as cement, drilling mud, rig tools, and wellbore fluids to support abandonment activities.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, pre-trip and post-trip reports, and basic maintenance checks.
- Properly secure loads using chains, straps, tarps, and other approved methods.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and transportation records in compliance with DOT and company policies.
- Follow all safety protocols and attend regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard assessments.
- Assist field crews with equipment loading / unloading and other on-site logistics as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Comply with all local, state (CalGEM), and federal regulations regarding oil and gas site operations and environmental safety.
Qualifications :
Required : Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Drivers License) Clean driving record and current DOT medical card Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the oil and gas or construction industry Knowledge of load securement, HOS (Hours of Service), and truck safety regulations Ability to work in remote and rugged environments across Southern CaliforniaPreferred : HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements (preferred but not required) Previous experience supporting oilfield operations, PandA work, or well servicing Familiarity with CalGEM abandonment procedures and environmental compliance Forklift certification and experience with rigging or winch operationsPhysical Requirements :
Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. regularlyStand, climb, kneel, or bend for extended periodsWork outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to pass pre-employment and random drug / alcohol testing and physical exams per DOT regulationsWork Environment :
Field-based role with travel to well sites throughout Southern CaliforniaExposure to noise, dust, heavy equipment, and outdoor conditionsVariable schedule, including overtime and on-call rotationsCompensation and Benefits :
