Job description

Inbound Sales Representative

The Inbound Sales Representative (full-time, remote) meets our customers' business or personal needs by providing the right advertising product or technical assistance with our print and online services. This individual should have a competitive spirit and a strong customer focus with the ability to complete workload through inbound calls and emails while providing professional, courteous customer service to our advertising customers while meeting deadlines in a highly accurate environment.

This is a remote-based, full-time position (Monday Friday and 2 hours Saturday morning) and candidates must reside in Ohio.

What you will do :

  • Assist current customers as well as new customers in all aspects of classified advertising
  • Take incoming calls from families, funeral homes, and individuals placing obituaries
  • Assist callers in composing and editing obituaries, ensuring accuracy and sensitivity
  • Coordinate with newspapers and online publications to place Classified advertisements
  • Responsible for placing advertisements and documenting all customer transactions in accordance with company policy
  • Answer inbound calls and emails across multiple markets by quickly toggling between applications & confidently navigate an ad order entry system, and develop professional relationships with our customers
  • Assist customers in placing product orders and recommend new product offers
  • Work with customers by answering questions, researching / resolving issues, troubleshooting and ensuring that customers enjoy the time they spend working with you
  • Meet and maintain all individual and team standards as set by the department, attend product and system training events, and share ideas to improve business practices

What you will bring :

  • Confident demeanor, competitive drive, and goal-oriented nature
  • Excellent communications skills (oral and written), courteous and clear telephone voice
  • Positive, people oriented, energetic and motivated to meet customer needs
  • Analytical, creative, and innovative in solving problems
  • Call center experience in customer service or sales preferred
  • In-depth experience with Internet (Web and email)
  • Experience with computers (MS Office) and the ability to collaborate and work respectfully with coworkers and leaders is essential
