Position Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse Manager, you will play a vital role in coordinating staff assignments according to policies, ensuring that all duties are distributed evenly among team members. You will support a collaborative work environment while encouraging your team to deliver outstanding care to our residents in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will include :
- Conducting rounds to assess resident care and addressing any concerns professionally and promptly.
- Receiving and documenting reports from charge nurses and communicating crucial information to the Director of Nursing.
- Managing staff effectively, providing guidance, and addressing disciplinary matters when needed.
- Empowering your team by promoting responsibility and accountability to elevate the quality of resident care.
- Ensuring compliance with patient care standards and delegating tasks as needed to ensure optimal care delivery.
- Collaborating with charge nurses to assess and adjust resident care plans based on ongoing evaluations.
- Providing resident and family education related to healthcare needs and confirming understanding of provided information.
- Demonstrating clinical competence in addressing each resident's physical, spiritual, psychological, and emotional needs.
- Maintaining knowledge of emergency procedures and safety protocols and managing pharmacy recommendations.
- Completing monthly Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) assessments.
Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs of the facility.
Qualifications
Current LPN license in the state of practice.Preferred : Two years of supervisory experience in long-term care.Three to five years of experience in long-term care or similar nursing settings.Excellent verbal communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and staff.Adept at time management and organizational skills to meet productivity standards.Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Capability to lift heavy objects safely and assist in resident transfers, with appropriate lifting techniques.Ability to push and pull equipment weighing over 40 lbs safely.Manual dexterity and coordination when handling residents and equipment.Proficiency in documentation and maintaining accurate records.Strong visual acuity for effective patient assessment.Skill in managing multiple activities simultaneously.Salary range : $61,604 - $97,375 annually.
