Job descriptionPlay Therapist with a Master’s Degree from a program recognized by the New York State Education Department. Current Play Therapist Registration conferred by the Association for Play Therapy Experience working with the Medically Fragile pediatric population is highly preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Passionate about using play as a therapeutic tool to promote emotional well-being and healing. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Work in a supportive, holistic healthcare environment focused on patient well-being. Location : Bronx, NY
Type : FFS 1099 Independent Contractor
Specialty : Helping children and youth use play therapy techniques to better understand and express their feelings, emotions, behaviors, and experiences.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct play therapy sessions to support children in coping with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
- Design and implement therapeutic programs tailored to meet the unique emotional needs of pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes.
- Create a safe and supportive environment that encourages children to express themselves and process their experiences through play.
Qualifications :
Rate : $40 per hour
