Job Description

General Summary Of Duties :

Prepare / serve beverages as ordered by waitress / cocktail server.  Provide the beverage to the guest in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities : (Includes but is not limited to the following)

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Promote and document orders for drinks, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested (requires memorization of all available drinks).
• Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Input order into a register at the point of sale, and create a check for each guest / party, including those served by cocktail servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
• Replenish beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction.
• Present the guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return.
• Receive cash from guests, make change needed, verify validity and record charges, and insure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all monies.
• Respond to guest inquiries.
• Provide guest satisfaction through assistance, direction and information within Hotel guidelines.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.  Maintain cleanliness of guest areas at all times, including removing empty glasses / bottles and cleaning ashtrays.
