POSITION TITLE : Refrigeration / Kitchen Equipment Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Maintain daily operation and repair of all ice machines, kitchen equipment, appliances and refrigeration equipment.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Diagnose and repair various types of equipment from commercial refrigeration including freezers, coolers, ice machines, and maintain complete working knowledge of various kitchen equipment related to refrigeration.
• Install new commercial refrigeration systems and components.
• Relocate and expand existing commercial refrigeration systems as needed.
• Repair, replace, or calibrate controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring.
• Wire and connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and humidity controls according to wiring schematics.
• Proper recovery of refrigerant to meet Federal requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled for all commercial refrigeration equipment, including changing of filters and cleaning condensers and coils.
• Receive and complete work orders.
• Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
• Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
• Work with supervisors to complete projects.
• Detect needed repairs on equipment following established inspection procedures.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed and be on-call / stand-by as assigned by supervisor.
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to safety procedures.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
• Show customer service with clients
