JOB SUMMARY

The Mortgage Administrative Floater provides cross-functional support to key areas of mortgage operations — including administration, lock desk, and compliance. This role is designed for a detail-oriented, adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting multiple teams to ensure smooth loan processing, accurate pricing, and regulatory compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 1–3 years of experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, compliance, or
  • secondary markets preferred.

  • Strong understanding of mortgage documentation and terminology.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and LOS systems (Encompass experience a
  • plus).

  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage shifting priorities across multiple
  • departments.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Administrative Support

  • Provide daily administrative and clerical support to the Operations, Processing,
  • and Secondary teams.

  • Prepare and organize loan files, reports, and documentation for internal review
  • and audits.

  • Assist with data entry, system updates, and loan tracking in LOS (Loan
  • Origination System).

  • Support department scheduling, communication, and document retention.
  • Lock Desk Assistant

  • Assist in monitoring rate lock requests and confirmations to ensure pricing
  • accuracy and adherence to company policy.

  • Support rate lock extensions, changes, and re-lock requests in coordination with
  • the Secondary team.

  • Verify rate sheets, investor pricing, and ensure timely delivery of lock
  • confirmations to loan officers and processors.

  • Maintain accurate records of rate locks, expirations, and changes.
  • Compliance Assistant

  • Support the Compliance team in reviewing initial and subsequent disclosures for
  • accuracy and timeliness.

  • Assist in ensuring adherence to federal, state, and investor regulations (e.g.,
  • RESPA, TILA, ECOA).

  • Track and update compliance documentation, including licensing and audit
  • responses.

  • Help review pipeline reports to ensure all compliance requirements are met prior to closing.
  • Cross-Team Support

  • Serve as a “floater” to support teams during peak times, absences, or special
  • projects.

  • Identify and implement small process improvements to enhance efficiency and
  • accuracy across departments.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive borrower
  • and company information.

    Compensation : $40k annually plus production bonus
