Job descriptionGenerous Paid Time Off Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance effective 30 days from hire date Life Insurance and Disability Insurance Options 401K Savings Plan with Ryder matching contributions Discount on purchase of Ryder Common Stock Employee Discounts on automotive, mobile plans, travel and hotels Accredited Tech School Tuition Reimbursement PPE & Uniforms provided at no cost Paid Job training and development Employee & Customer Referral Bonus program High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Vocational or Technical Certification / Post Secondary degree (preferred) Basic tools required Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including : Routine maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work) Diagnostics and repairs (AC, electrical systems) Advanced repairs (major engine, diesel after treatment, fuel injection) Three (3) years or more relevant work experience (preferred) NonCommercial Driver License CLASS E (preferred) Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A (preferred) Other state driver's license as required Two (2) years or more experience with heavy duty equipment diagnostics and repairs Able to take home assigned mobile service truck and secure vehicle and contents Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles Ability to adhere to Company policies, complete repair orders, and maintain professional relationships Strong customer service, account management, and communication skills Organized, self-starter, capable of multi-tasking with excellent time management Pass Ryder Drug Test Pass DOT physical Pass Ryder road test Pass Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Screenings may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check; road test; etc. Interact with customers, exhibit account management skills, and independently facilitate preventative maintenance and repair issue resolution. Coordinate work schedule as required by customers and perform road tests to identify and resolve complaints. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and vehicle repairs including : Brakes-Air and hydraulic brake system inspections and repairs. Cargo handling and liftgate maintenance. Charging systems, battery, alternator, and electrical accessories maintenance. Clutch system maintenance and inspections. Cooling system inspections, repairs, and flushing. Cranking system and battery checks. Lighting system and electrical accessories repair. Drive axles, driveline, and wheel assembly inspections. Fuel system maintenance and repairs. Complete all applicable PMs and safety checks within required time frames (e.g., 90 days for brakes and tires, 180 days for HVAC). Maintain service, safety, and environmental records. Act as a mentor for SM II level technicians.

- Work site service vehicle will be provided for mobile technicians
