Job Title : Network Automation Engineer

Location : Plano, TX (Remote)

Duration : 6 months

We are seeking a Network Automation Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and automating network infrastructure to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Arista EOS, Python, Ansible, automation frameworks, CI / CD pipelines, and cloud services with a passion for driving operational excellence through automation and DevOps practices.

Job Description

As a Network Automation Engineer , you will architect, implement, and support automation frameworks that streamline network provisioning, monitoring, and validation in large-scale environments. The Network Automation Engineer will collaborate across software, network, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end automation solutions that improve speed, security, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities :

Architect and implement automation frameworks, playbooks, and test suites for large-scale Arista EOS environments.

Design and build reusable Ansible or Python modules to automate device provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.

Develop CI / CD integrations (Jenkins, GitLab CI / CD) for automated deployment and testing workflows.

Translate complex business and network workflows into executable automation logic and scripts.

Troubleshoot automation and network-related issues to ensure system reliability and high availability.

Build dashboards and monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch) for proactive system health monitoring.

Implement and automate alerts, notifications, and daemon processes to detect anomalies and optimize performance.

Work closely with operations to deliver seamless code and data deployment support across environments.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and create actionable insights to prevent recurrence of issues.

Maintain and evolve security, telemetry, and documentation across the entire SDLC.

Lead initiatives to enhance automation maturity, mentoring peers in DevOps and scripting best practices.

Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of network systems and applications.

The Network Automation Engineer will play a key role in evolving infrastructure automation, reducing manual intervention, and improving operational agility. A successful Network Automation Engineer will possess strong problem-solving skills, cloud experience (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), and hands-on knowledge of automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, GitLab, and CloudFormation .
