Job Description The Operations Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production in alignment with company objectives. This role manages frontline supervisors and operational teams, enforces safety and environmental standards, and drives continuous improvement across the site.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead and manage production teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets for tonnage, grade, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards at all times.
- Supervise shift supervisors, equipment operators, and support staff across mining, hauling, and auxiliary services.
- Coordinate short-term and long-term mine plans with planning, geology, and maintenance departments.
- Monitor key operational metrics (KPIs), analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the team.
- Participate in budgeting and cost control by managing labor, equipment usage, and consumables.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated leadership in team management, production planning, and performance improvement.
- Strong knowledge of mining equipment, production processes, and safety standards
- 5+ years in a similar role
- English; Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus
