About The Position

Must-Have :

• Minimum of 1 year experience in specialty
• Ability to float to other units in women’s and children’s department
• Competent in couplet care nurse / patient ratio of 3-4 couplet assignments
• Experience with NST for antepartum patients

Description :

This position involves providing nursing care for postpartum patients following vaginal or cesarean deliveries.

Nurses will assist with GYN surgical patients and perform circumcision assistance as needed.

Candidates must be able to float to one other unit within the women’s and children’s department with a modified assignment in NICU or pediatrics.

Nurses are competent in couplet care, handling 3-4 couplets per shift.

There are no baby-catching responsibilities required for labor and delivery float.

Interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy and respiratory services are available to enhance patient care.

Team nursing approaches will be utilized, and nurses may be floated to assist in other areas when necessary.

Daily patient assignments may include well newborns and postpartum readmissions.

The facility operates a 25-bed postpartum unit with all private rooms.
