Senior Procurement Advisor

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Procurement Advisor to support procurement activities with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and the City of Los Angeles. This role requires deep expertise in municipal utility procurement and the ability to provide strategic guidance on procurement systems, union considerations, and tactical processes.

The position is structured under an RFP expected to be awarded later this year.

WORKSITE : Primarily Remote, with 13 trips to Downtown Los Angeles

WORK SCHEDULE : Estimated 120 hours total, concentrated between January March 2026, with additional hours possible through August 2026

PAY RATE : $ per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

  • Advise on procurement processes and strategy for LADWP and / or City of Los Angeles.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on municipal utility procurement systems and processes.
  • Support the client with union-related procurement considerations, particularly in the context of LADWP and the City of LA.
  • Assist in tactical procurement processes and IT systems relevant to LADWP.
  • Serve as a nationally-recognized subject matter expert on large municipal procurement practices.
  • WHAT YOU'LL BRING :

  • Significant experience with LADWP or City of Los Angeles procurement, or equivalent large municipal utility procurement experience.
  • Recognition as a subject matter expert in procurement processes for large municipal utilities.
  • Experience working with unions, especially in the context of LADWP or City of Los Angeles.
  • Knowledge of tactical procurement processes and IT systems relevant to municipal utilities.
  • Ability to work primarily remotely, with availability for limited travel to Los Angeles.
