D&K Pest Control is a locally owned and operated wildlife removal, exclusion, and pest control company serving the greater Naperville and Chicagoland area. We specialize in humane wildlife removal, professional exclusion repairs, and advanced camera-monitored trapping technology. Our team is dedicated to professionalism, safety, humane practices, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

Wildlife Removal & Trapping

Set, monitor, and remove humane traps for nuisance wildlife (raccoons, squirrels, bats, skunks, birds, etc.)

Perform daily trap checks and respond promptly to animal captures

Utilize camera-monitored traps to remotely check and document captures

Humanely dispatch animals in accordance with Illinois state and federal wildlife regulations when required

Safely transport and release captured wildlife or bring injured, orphaned, or non-releasable animals to licensed local wildlife rehabilitators as needed

Follow all humane handling, transport, and disposal guidelines per company policy and state regulations

Inspections & Estimates

Conduct thorough property inspections to locate wildlife entry points and potential vulnerabilities

Take clear, labeled photos of all findings for client records and documentation

Write and submit detailed exclusion and repair estimates using GorillaDesk CRM

Clearly explain inspection findings and proposed work to clients in a professional and educational manner

Exclusion & Repair Work

Perform minor carpentry and sealing repairs to close wildlife entry points (roof gaps, soffits, vents, siding, fascia, etc.)

Install one-way devices, chimney caps, vent guards, and other exclusion materials

Safely use ladders, hand tools, and power tools in residential and commercial settings

Maintain high-quality craftsmanship and follow company exclusion standards

Routing & Scheduling

Manage daily wildlife routes efficiently using GorillaDesk CRM

Coordinate trap checks, animal pick-ups, and follow-up visits

Communicate with office staff regarding schedule updates, materials used, and job status

Customer Service

Communicate courteously and clearly with customers about wildlife activity, trapping progress, and repair options

Educate clients about wildlife behavior, prevention strategies, and company warranties

Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance

Maintain company-issued truck, ladders, tools, and equipment in clean, working condition

Perform basic truck maintenance (oil, fluids, cleanliness, inventory)

Ensure safety equipment (harnesses, gloves, respirators, etc.) is in good condition and used properly

Technology & Documentation

Use GorillaDesk CRM to create invoices, upload photos, log materials, and complete detailed service notes

Operate company-issued cell phone for routing, trap monitoring, and communication

Accurately document all services performed, wildlife captured, and any rehabilitations or releases

Teamwork & Scheduling

Work rotating weekends for animal pick-ups and trap monitoring

Assist fellow technicians on large exclusion or remediation projects as needed

Attend regular team meetings and safety trainings
