As an audiologist, you will apply the principles of hearing science to formulate opinions on the severity of hearing problems, diagnosis, causation, and assessing the probability that hearing issues are related to military service.

You will be responsible for administering and interpreting various tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception and discrimination tests, the site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech.

Responsibilities : ">

• Evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical record reviews of past audiograms.
• Determines the likely cause of hearing loss and states the prognosis.
• Addresses hearing loss and tinnitus issues.
• Conducts otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment.
• Leads paraprofessional staff training for audiology-specific skills and certifications.
• Completes Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs).

You will also have the ability to travel up to 50% to provide audiology examinations for clients in multiple locations throughout the country.
