Wage: $18.81 per hour

Job Type: Part-time, weekends and holidays

Location: Gateway Shuttles, 8100 Tower Rd. Commerce City CO

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, deploying, and dispatching of Fixed Route and On Demand Services in a safe, efficient, and proactive approach. Treats operators, peers, and customers in a professional manner, and leads by example as the Dispatcher is a representative of frontline leadership at the location.

What we are looking for:

• Leads and directs shuttles, accountable based on assigned duties and tasks as directed.
• Serves as central control for day-to-day vehicle communications, trip routing, and handling emergency situations.
• Diligently monitors shuttles to include on time performance, vehicle pull-outs, and properly documents rider no-shows.
• Meets with the account manager on a regular basis to discuss KPI’s goals and objectives for the department, and ensure that goals are being met or exceeded.
• Promotes a teamwork environment and effective communication between Dispatchers, Supervisors, and Operators.
• Coordinate problem resolution among Operators, Supervisors, and Public.
• Communicate clear direction and response over radio with operators and supervisors utilizing established radio codes.
• Influences positive employee morale and quality customer service.
• Monitors operator sign-in and sign-out utilizing computer-aided dispatching and routing tools.
• May be required to drive in service when required.
• Provides superior customer service and communications skills.
• Documents service disruption issues utilizing the dispatch log.
• Ensures accurate assignment of vehicles and Operators.
• Ability to follow company and agency policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.

Must haves:

• You are at least 21 years old
• Must have a valid DMV driver's license, for at least 3 years
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of related experience in a Paratransit, Fixed Route or Demand Response environment preferred.
• Ability to work an assigned schedule, which may include weekends, nights, early mornings, and holidays.
• Ability to secure wheelchairs, bend, push and pull up to fifty pounds.
• Clean driving record with a minimum of three (3) years driving history.
