Position Summary The CMM Programmer is responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect and validate precision-manufactured components. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in CMM programming, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities Develop, execute, and optimize CMM inspection programs for complex mechanical componentsProgram and analyze measurement data using industry-standard CMM softwareInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to define inspection requirementsPerform dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications and quality standardsAnalyze inspection results and identify measurement or quality issuesTroubleshoot and resolve CMM programming and measurement discrepanciesPerform routine maintenance, calibration, and verification of CMM equipmentMaintain accurate inspection records, reports, and supporting documentationCollaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to improve inspection processesFollow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment Required Qualifications Education and Experience : Proven experience as a CMM Programmer in a manufacturing or engineering environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical certification or formal training in CMM programming or a related field preferred Technical Skills : Strong proficiency with CMM programming software (PCDMIS or similar preferred)Experience working with various CMM machines and precision measurement toolsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD modelsStrong understanding of GD&T and dimensional inspection principles Core Competencies : Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to qualityStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionEffective communication and organizational skillsAbility to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment Preferred Qualifications Experience inspecting precision-machined componentsBackground in manufacturing, aerospace, or other high-reliability quality environments
