Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Albuquerque, NM 87102 (New Mexico nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Medical / Surgical Unit – 32 beds (4th Floor) Contract Length : 13-week travel nurse contract Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts / week (18 : 30 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours available) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1460 - $1500 Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 Weekend Requirement : 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period Float Requirement : Yes, to similar Med / Surg units Charting System : EPIC EMR Scrub Color : Any (no hospital logo required) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active NM or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience (2 years preferred) BLS certification (required) CPI certification (preferred) Experience with EPIC charting system (preferred) Proficient in blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tube care, colostomy care, CVA management, feeding tube care, heparin, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, isolation precautions, IV management, wound care, and related clinical skills Ability to float to similar medical-surgical units as needed Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med / Surg unit Manage a patient load of up to 6 patients per shift Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care using EPIC EMR Perform IV management, wound care, surgical drain care, and other Med / Surg procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services Float to similar units within scope as required Participate in self-scheduling and fulfill weekend shift requirements Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff Take the next step in your travel nursing career with this rewarding Med / Surg RN job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
