SUMMARY
Function as an experienced technician who is able to perform diagnosis and repairs of most vehicle components without supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Vocational / technical school graduate preferred. Five years related experience required.
Must have experience in engine and driveline troubleshooting.
Must have experience in electrical repair and air conditioning systems.
Must have component overhaul experience and / or specialty (A / C or electrical) experience.
Must be able to obtain passing grade during Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and / or vendor training
Must have good supply of most hand tools to complete most repairs
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
State Vehicle Inspector Certification (Class 7) required
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or above or ability to obtain within first six months required; must meet company insurability standards
Valid Driver's License required; must meet company insurability standards
