Job Overview

Join us as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, where you'll be immersed in a culture of innovation, and continuous improvement. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to drive real impact in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Optimization.

This position is based on-site in Kansas City, KS and is not eligible for remote work. This internship will begin on May 26, 2026 and end on August 14, 2026.

Highlights of your role

Support the current engineering team with the following :

Identify and implement continuous improvement activities within production and business processes.

• Develop manufacturing processes, standard work and create and maintain process documentation.
• Support the layout of our new production line.
• Actively deploy lean concepts throughout the organization.
• Assist in analyzing, identifying, and resolving production line problems and lead problem-solving groups.
• Develop and maintain production line layouts and jigs / fixtures.
• Effectively communicate and work with Design Engineers and Project Managers to ensure designs and detailing meet the requirements of the project.
• Communicate equipment, jig, process, and product changes proactively.
• Communicate with vendors to quote and procure components and equipment.
