Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

As Planning Division Manager, you'll oversee the City's Planning Division and serve as an advisor to department and City leadership. This position manages both long-range planning and development services, ensuring projects and policies reflect Hillsboro's community values and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include :

• Promote effective customer service and responsive code implementation.
• Develop and implement a strategic vision that aligns with the City's Comprehensive Plan.
• Oversee the division's work plan, including budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
• Supervise and mentor Planning Managers, fostering professional growth and team collaboration.
• Represent the City in public forums, presentations, and regional partnerships.
• Lead and coordinate complex planning projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
