Properly operates the lifts on the vans and is able to operate all vehicles in the transport fleet. Education, License & Cert : High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience : + Recommended maintains CPR or BCLS, and First Aid. + Must have current valid driver's license. + Must be 21 years of age as per PA PUC requirement. + Ability to read, write, and understand oral communication. + Keeps neat / legible written records. + Follows universal precautions and utilizes proper body mechanics. + Is able to make timely decisions. + Must be able to operate communication radios in all vans. Essential Functions : + Accurately performs all paperwork and documentation. + Identifies patient by asking patient to state name and date of birth prior to any treatment. + Keeps familiar with equipment. + Notifies proper authorities when applicable. + Performs safe operation of vehicles and knows how to properly operate the lifts in the vans. + Accurately secures wheelchairs in vans. + Accurately secures stretchers in vans. + Accurately secures safety belts on patients. + Keeps familiar in the proper lifting, securing, and moving techniques of stretchers. + Is able to perform CPR and basic first aid and to recognize an emergency situation. + Vehicle transport.
