Precision Medicine - Medical Affairs Director - Health Systems Oncology
The Precision Medicine - Medical Affairs Director - Health Systems Oncology (PM MAD-HSO) develops ongoing professional relationships with healthcare decision makers across reference laboratories, managed markets organizations, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), oncology pathway organizations, oncology group purchasing organizations (GPO), Medicare administrative contractors (MAC), and state oncology / hematology societies. The PM MAD-HSO provides accurate information across the full oncology product portfolio, precision medicine, clinical science, and quality management in a balanced and credible manner consistent with the regulatory environment and the company's ethical standards. This role also serves as a resource for the Medical Affairs (MA) management team on strategic planning and provides mentoring for other team members. Territory will include VA, NC, SC, TN, MS, AL, GA, FL, MD, & Washington DC.
Responsibilities And Primary Activities
Develops ongoing professional relationships with key decision makers in reference laboratories, organized health systems, managed market organizations, and oncology pathway organizations to ensure access to medical and scientific information on the full oncology product portfolio and areas of therapeutic interest.
Develops strategic account plans in partnership with Precision Medicine Health Systems Oncology Medical Affairs Director (PM HSO-MADs), oncology account management, and precision medicine teams and executes medical activities in alignment with agreed upon plan.
Serves as the primary resource for market dynamics within the territory to understand decision makers' evolving information needs to feed into the ongoing value-proposition development process for oncology product and non-product offerings.
Effectively communicates and coordinates with Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) regarding medical and scientific support needs in key health systems accounts, in conjunction with HSO MADs.
Serves as a resource for the PM MAD-HSO Team Lead, HSO Executive Director Medical Affairs, and other members of US Medical Affairs on other relevant strategic planning.
Attends and supports scientific and medical meetings and prepares post-meeting deliverables.
Required Minimum Qualifications, Skills, & Experience
MD, PharmD, PhD -OR- 3 years of dedicated experience in a field-based medical affairs role working with reference labs, regional and / or national payers, integrated delivery systems, or scientific leaders -OR- 5 years of clinical experience working within a health system OR the equivalent.
Experience with organized healthcare system(s) or payer organization(s), including ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships with key decision makers.
Thorough knowledge of biomarkers / diagnostics used in oncology and how they overlay with clinical medicine, the managed market environment, disease management, and medical research.
Thorough knowledge of oncology precision medicine / biomarkers / diagnostics and how this overlays with clinical medicine, healthcare delivery system structure and function, and healthcare delivery policy and trends.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to network, strong personal integrity, collaborative mindset, and a strong customer focus.
Thorough understanding of ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
Demonstrable project leadership abilities.

US Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $206,200.00 - $324,600.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits.
