Responsibilities Work on a 46-bed MS / Tele surgical unit caring for trauma, bariatric, abdominal, amputation, urological, overflow medical, and cardiac patients Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30 Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required No on-call responsibilities Cerner charting system experience required Float to other units within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census as needed Primary responsibilities include managing trauma surgery, bariatric surgery, abdominal surgery, amputation post-op, and urological patients Module-based orientation required, averaging 3-8 hours, to be completed pre-start Holiday coverage requires willingness to work at least 1 of the 3 holiday shifts if requesting time off Strict professional conduct standards are enforced due to sensitivity of assignment Team-based environment supporting complex surgical and medical overflow patients Requirements Active Michigan (MI) RN license required Current certifications required : ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Minimum of 1 year of recent MS / Tele nursing experience required Cerner EMR experience required Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility First-time travelers are accepted Must not have been employed by the facility in the past 3 years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626248.
