Operating Room Registered Nurse

About the position\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for the operating room, including utilization of preference cards and anticipating surgeons' needs.\n
• Coordinate and oversee the operating room during surgical cases as the circulator.\n
• Facilitate effective and efficient transitions between surgical procedures.\n
• Utilize appropriate body mechanics in moving patients to stretchers and operating room tables to prevent injury.\n
• Manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia.\n
• Consistently review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after surgical procedures.\n\nRequirements\n
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.\n
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.\n
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.\n
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).\n
• ACLS certification as required by facility.\n
