Director of Creative Automation & Asset Strategy

The Director of Creative Automation & Asset Strategy will lead the evolution of how we produce, manage, and scale creative content at Sam's Club. This role is rooted in automationdesigning and implementing systems that streamline creative production and enable personalization at scale. But it also recognizes that automation is only as powerful as the assets it draws from. That's why this leader will also oversee the strategy and operations behind our creative asset libraries, ensuring they are structured, accessible, and optimized for automated workflows.

This is a hybrid role for a systems thinker who understands both the creative process and the infrastructure that supports it. You'll partner closely with external agencies and internal teams to drive innovation, efficiency, and brand consistency across every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Automation Leadership

• Architect and implement creative automation workflows across channels and platforms.
• Design modular, reusable templates that support dynamic content generation.
• Integrate data feeds and personalization logic into creative production pipelines.
• Collaborate with creative, media, and tech teams to identify automation opportunities upstream (e.g., during briefing and planning).
• Oversee creative direction at external agencies, ensuring alignment with automation strategy and brand standards.
• Monitor performance metrics and continuously optimize automation systems for speed, quality, and impact.

You've led automation initiatives that transformed how creative work gets doneand you understand that great automation starts with great asset hygiene. You're comfortable toggling between high-level strategy and operational detail, and you know how to bring people along on the journey. You've worked with agencies, built scalable content ecosystems, and know how to use technology to unlock creative potential.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include : stock.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in design, marketing, creative writing, advertising, fine arts, or related area and 7 years' experience leading creative teams. Option 2 : 9 years' experience leading creative teams.

Preferred Qualifications...

Experience in web development., experience using Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, or related video editing software., experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, or related presentation programs., Experience working with animation software., Project Management Certification, Project management experience.
