Client Summary :
Specializes in providing administrative and management services to dermatology practices. Practices offer a comprehensive range of dermatology services, including general dermatology, plastics, Mohs surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and pathology.
Position Responsibilities
- Financial Management : Oversee financial reporting, planning, and analysis; manage day-to-day financial operations; and ensure accurate and timely financial closing processes.
- Corporate Governance : Implement internal controls, financial risk management procedures, and ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Strategic Planning : Develop and execute financial strategies, budgets, board materials, and forecasts; provide financial insights for strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, promote professional development, and foster a collaborative culture.
- IT and Human Resources Oversight : Manage procurement, budgeting, and implementation of key IT systems; oversee HR functions, employee manuals, onboarding, training programs, and compliance policies.
- Industry Knowledge : Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management for the healthcare sector.
Experience & Skills
Required Experience and Qualifications :
15-20 years of relevant experience as a CFO or in senior financial roles.Proven track record in finance, accounting, and revenue cycle management (RCM) services.Oversight : Primary oversight on Finance, Accounting, and RCM services; secondary oversight on Information Technology (IT) and Legal departments.Preferred experience in Private Equity-backed companies; ideally navigated a company through an exit process.Experience with multi-site healthcare facilities; preferable experience managing organizations with revenues around $50 million and sites in multiple states.Dermatology industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Certification : While not mandatory, CPA certification is preferred.Financial Acumen : Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations in the healthcare industry; understanding of healthcare insurance billing practices.Computer Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and ability to learn new computer programs.Skills and Competencies
