Duties and Responsibilities :
Billing Specialists perform many accounting, customer service and organizational tasks to promote the financial health of their organization. These duties and responsibilities often include :
Searching each financial statement for any payment inconsistencies or errorsCollaborating with customers, and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errorsCreating invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to a customerInputting payment history, upcoming payment information or other financial data into an accountFinding financial solutions for customersInforming customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlinesCalculating and tracking various company financial statementsTranslating coding for cost analysisRequirements :
Previous experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable is necessary, with a strong preference for experience in the HVAC, plumbing, or construction industries.
Software proficiency :
Microsoft Office Suite (especially ExcelExperience with specific HVAC / construction accounting software (e.g., Viewpoint, Acumatica, COINS) is a plusTechnical skills :
Strong understanding of invoicing and accounting practiceFamiliarity with HVAC service terminologyKnowledge of work order processing and collections is often requiredSoft skills and competencies :
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracyStrong problem-solving and communication skills (both written and verbal)Ability to multitask and meet deadlinesStrong organizational and customer service skillsEducation :
