Mechanical and electrical technical skills to troubleshoot, design and solve machine malfunctions. Comprehensive knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls in a machinery environment. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Occasionally required to talk or hear. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather) While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move more than 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes : Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to travel on airplanes or in automobiles.

SUMMARY : Electro-Mechanical Field Technician
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide customer technical service and support to include installation / start-up (mechanical and electrical)
- PLC software modification on system controls
- Use of RSLogix 5000 and 500 to troubleshoot systems.
- Installing, programming and commissioning of AC VFDs especially PowerFlex.
- Minimal Use of Factory Talk View to troubleshoot PanelViewPlus HMIs.
- Customer training and troubleshooting
- Up to 75% Travel “both” Domestic and Foreign
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
