MRI Technologist (Peoria)

Job description :

Pride Health is hiring for a MRI Technologist to support our clients medical facility based in Peoria, IL . This is a local contract or travel contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details :

• Perform high-quality MRI scans on inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients using GE 1.5T (450W) and 3T (750W) scanners
• Follow MRI safety protocols and ensure all safety guidelines are maintained for patients, visitors, and staff
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures while providing excellent patient care and comfort
• Start IVs for contrast-enhanced exams and manage contrast administration as required
• Use EPIC EMR system to document, schedule, and track imaging procedures
• Maintain detailed image records and ensure all scans are properly labeled and transmitted to PACS
• Adjust scanning protocols and utilize standard acquisition sequences based on clinical indications
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and MRI assistants to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and restock supplies as needed
• Participate in department orientation, comply with all hospital policies, and contribute to team operations
• Adhere to Level I trauma center standards for emergency readiness and imaging responsiveness
• Cover one weekend per month and occasional holidays as required
