The Role

We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven Senior Manager of Renewals to lead our renewals team and drive customer retention and growth. You’ll be responsible for building and scaling our renewals function, partnering closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Finance, and ensuring our customers continue to see value in PagerDuty.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing renewals team focused on maximizing customer retention and minimizing churn.
  • Own the end-to-end renewals process, including forecasting, pipeline management, and contract negotiations.
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers to identify expansion opportunities and proactively address renewal risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product to streamline processes and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Analyze renewal data and trends to inform strategy, improve processes, and report on key metrics to leadership.
  • Develop and implement best practices, playbooks, and enablement for the renewals team.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-value renewals.

About You

  • 7+ years of experience in SaaS renewals, account management, or customer success, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving high renewal rates and leading teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly, and drive results.
  • Passion for customer success and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
  • PagerDuty is a flexible, hybrid workplace. We embrace and encourage in-person working as an integral part of our culture. This role is expected to come into our office 2 times per week.

    Salary The base salary range for this position is $134,000 - $206,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and / or benefits.

    Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, pay is based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the salary range for your primary work location during the hiring process.
