Assistant General Manager
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring top-tier food quality, guest service, and team performance. The AGM plays a critical role in developing team members, maintaining compliance, and driving profitability.
Key responsibilities include :
- Supporting the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations and leadership.
- Assisting with recruiting, training, and developing hourly team members and shift leaders.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
- Monitoring daily sales, labor, and inventory to achieve financial targets.
- Enforcing labor scheduling policies (minimum 4 staff per shift, labor cost targets).
- Leading by example in delivering outstanding guest service and resolving guest concerns.
- Supervising opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
- Conducting regular line checks and quality audits.
- Assisting with new employee onboarding and ongoing training initiatives.
- Supporting execution of local marketing and community engagement activities.
- Stepping in as acting GM in the General Manager's absence.
Requirements :
2+ years of restaurant management experience (QSR or fast casual preferred).Proven leadership and team development skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.Solid understanding of labor, food cost, and inventory controls.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.ServSafe certification (preferred).Work schedule :
