Position Overview

Valitana is looking to hire a Senior Backend Developer – Vice President / Director to help accelerate our technology and business growth. This role requires a detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and is passionate about building high-quality software. We are looking for a driven team member with technical depth and a desire to deliver end products for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust software components and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with internal product and business development teams to understand and implement client development needs.
  • Research and integrate new technologies to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices and maintainability.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative, and feedback-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • 10-15+ years of experience as a backend developer or engineer within FinTech or Technology.
  • Expert in leveraging C# / .NET (ASP.NET Core) to solve complex problems.
  • Strong understanding of Web Technologies, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Self-Starter with a strategic mindset to work independently while contributing to the team.
  • The following preferences are a plus :

    • Understanding financial products, especially structured products.

  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Awareness of UI / UX best practices.

    • What We Offer

    The base salary range for this role is $2oo,000 to $250,000 with a total compensation package (base + bonus) ranging between $250,000 to $375,000 based on experience. Valitana offers a competitive compensation package which includes a base salary and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, healthcare with medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, and PTO.

    Employees in this role will work in the office Mondays through Wednesdays with the flexibility to work remotely Thursdays and Fridays.
