Registered Nurse (RN) - Short Term Agreement - Ortho / Spine - Days - $50 at Norman Regional Health System summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this short-term agreement focuses on providing exceptional care for orthopedic and spine patients in a specialized 32-bed unit. Responsibilities include patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, implementation of care plans, and evaluation of patient outcomes while ensuring compliance with evidence-based practices. Candidates should possess a current RN license in Oklahoma and may have a diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN, with preferred prior healthcare experience.

  • $50 flat rate
  • 13 week assignment
  • 3 12hr shift / week
  • Hours not guaranteed

Ortho / Spine is a 32 bed unit specializing in orthopedic patients. We have disease specific certification from the Joint Commission in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement and Hip Fx patients which deems us a center of excellence. We also care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients as well as other fractures. We also care for low level cardiac patients and some med-surg patients.

Responsibilities : Job Summary

RN essential functions include, but are not limited to :

  • Assessment / reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions.
  • Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate
  • Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy
  • Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.
  • Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed.

  • Qualifications : Education

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Experience

  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
  • Licensure / Certification

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
  • Other Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
