Job Description JOB TITLE IT Operations Support Specialist REPORTS TO IT STATUS FTE, Exempt WAGE RANGE Bend 16 (2024) DEPARTMENT IT WORK LOCATION Onsite   POSITION PURPOSE The Internal IT Operations Support Specialist will serve as the primary internal point of contact for day-to-day technical issues that require immediate attention and resolution. This role is designed to complement the services provided by Meriplex by handling urgent troubleshooting, user support, and coordination of escalations. The specialist will ensure smooth operations across departments by resolving issues that do not require external vendor intervention and by maintaining continuity in IT service delivery.   ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide first-line support for urgent technical issues across the organization, including hardware, software, network, and access-related problems.
  • Triage and resolve issues internally when possible, and escalate to Meriplex when external support is required.
  • Maintain documentation of recurring issues and resolutions to improve internal troubleshooting efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Meriplex to ensure seamless handoff and follow-through on escalated tickets.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup, account provisioning, and access management.
  • Monitor system alerts and respond to incidents in real time.
  • Assist with internal IT projects, audits, and compliance-related tasks as directed by the Chief Compliance & Operations Officer.
  • Provide user training and guidance on basic IT tools and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support preferably in healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles, preferably in a hybrid internal / external support environment.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of compliance and data security principles is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS

  • A typical office environment requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting to 50 plus pounds.
  • Ability to travel and drive to in-person meetings or be on-site as required.
  • May be exposed to patient and environment conditions such as unpleasant sights, smells and contagious diseases (clinic only).
