About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hours Nights

Hours per Shift : 7 PM - 7 AM; every other weekend; holidays as scheduled

Experience : 2 years of previous ER experience in a similar size / volume ER; previous travel experience required

License : Must hold an active RN license

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC required; CEN, TCRN, and CPEN preferred

Must-Have :

Candidates must have previous EPIC experience.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license with an address outside 50 miles from the facility.

All background hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.

Description :

The unit consists of 40 patient beds, including two trauma bays.

Care is provided under the supervision of ED physicians and mid-level providers.

The average patient volume is approximately 120 patients per day.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 4 for RN's.

Nurse aides and paramedics will support nurses, with a ratio of 1 : 8-10 depending on staffing.

Security is available in the facility but is not dedicated solely to the Emergency Room.

Weekend and holiday shifts may be scheduled based on unit needs.

Scrub color is navy blue, with a white or navy undershirt allowed.

Vents and non-invasive ventilation equipment are available in the unit for patient care.

The schedule is managed using a software system, with requests to be submitted in advance.

Common diagnoses include major trauma and behavioral health cases, among others.

Floating to other departments may be required when necessary.

Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with critical care needs.
