Description :

The unit consists of 51 emergency beds, including rapid medical exam areas.

The shift requires working every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

The average patient volume is approximately 120 patients per day.

Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1 : 4 for registered nurses.

Support staff includes emergency techs with EMS backgrounds.

There is security on-site, but it is not dedicated to the emergency department.

Weekend shifts include Friday and Saturday nights, with a preference for block scheduling if it suits unit needs.

Common diagnoses include traumatic injuries, STEMI cases, strokes, and behavioral health issues.

The facility is equipped to stabilize patients for transfer to higher-level care as necessary.

Additional facilities include a helipad for patient transport and in-house respiratory therapy.

The electronic medical record system used is EpicCare.

Telemonitoring is located at a central station accessible to nursing staff.

Dress code includes navy blue scrubs with specific guidelines for outerwear and hair color.

Nurses may be floated to different areas based on staffing needs.

The facility provides in-house pharmacy services.
