Job descriptionEngineering Excellence : Create high-quality, error-free documents that set the standard for the industry, ensuring every project meets the highest codes and regulations Commitment to Precision & Compliance : Produce engineering deliverables with unwavering accuracy, meeting client, regulatory, and ENERCON standards Continuous Growth & Mastery : Stay ahead of the curve by continuously expanding knowledge of industry codes, safety culture, and cutting-edge design techniques, shaping the future of nuclear engineering Leadership and Vision : Lead with purpose, driving projects forward and delivering results that exceed client expectations while upholding ENERCON's commitment to quality Trusted Partnerships : Cultivate lasting relationships with clients, earning their trust through exceptional service, clear communication, and the delivery of innovative engineering solutions Collaborative Innovation : Work seamlessly across disciplines, ensuring every design integrates diverse perspectives and meets the highest standards of excellence On-the-Ground Impact : Engage directly with clients at plant sites, conducting in-depth walkdowns that transform vision into reality, ensuring every system and component is optimized for success Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university Minimum 7 years of Mechanical Engineering experience with a minimum of 5 years' experience designing Gloveboxes for handling special materials EIT or PE license in one or more states preferred Experience in Mechanical codes, standards, and criteria, Glovebox codes, and development of fabrication drawing for electromechanical equipment and mechanical systems Experience with ANSYS and SolidWorks preferred or comparable software platforms Perform peer reviews of technical work Excellent verbal communication skills; Comfortable and effective communicator with team, clients, management, etc., choosing the right mode of communication for the situation and relaying the right message Ability to work effectively in teams Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at client sites Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail Strong coordination skills; demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, divisions, and teams Problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills Proficient in Word and Excel Ability to travel up to 15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks Position may involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time Must be a U.S. Citizen At Enercon Services, Inc. Overview
Our Federal Services Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to serve as a Glovebox Subject Matter Expert (SME). Responsibilities of this role include preparing error-free engineering documents, maintaining relevant knowledge of industry codes and standards, building strong client relationships and producing high quality engineering deliverables. The Federal Services group provides engineering services for our Department of Energy (DOE) facilities. The work involves designing special material handling gloveboxes. This position can be based out of one of the following office locations :
Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta)
- FT Worth, TX
- Plano, TX
- Aiken, SC
- Naperville, IL (Suburb of Chicago)
- Kennewick, WA
- Remote will be considered for Principal Engineers
Responsibilities
Every day, you'll drive excellence by producing high-quality engineering documents, leading impactful projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating across disciplines, all while fostering strong client relationships and enhancing safety and design innovation in the nuclear industry.
