Maintenance Technician

Job description

Fidura & Associates, Incorporated has a position available in the Roanoke & Staunton region. The Maintenance Technician will provide basic maintenance for four (4) group homes. Duties may include, but are not limited to :

• completing basic, structural repairs such as patching drywall, repairing broken glass, repairing floor damage, mounting grab bars
• repairing doors and door locks
• responding to minor plumbing needs
• maintaining light fixtures
• yard work (grass cutting, raking leaves, trimming hedges, removing bulk trash, being proactive in rodent / snake control)
• assembly / repair of furniture and appliances (assembling new furniture, repairing damaged furniture, maintaining vacuum cleaners)
• painting as needed
• replacing keys, having keys made
• troubleshooting
• Conducting routine inspections in the residential units; this may include :

replacing filters as scheduled

Maintenance experience and own tools strongly preferred .

Pay : $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours : Between 30 to 40 hours per week

Work Location : In person and must be willing to travel between the Roanoke and Staunton region on a regular basis
