Overview

This position will help develop and advance critical projects and innovative policy and operational initiatives in the City of Cleveland’s Department of Innovation & Technology. It generally supports the Chief Innovation & Technology Officer (CITO) in developing and implementing catalytic innovations and technologies across the City. The role works closely, as appropriate, with key leaders in Mayor Bibb’s administration, City Council, and external stakeholders. This position reports directly to the CITO.

Responsibilities include evaluating and recommending new automation technologies, managing and coordinating installation, testing, and documentation, supervising and budgetary oversight, maintaining knowledge of technology trends, and coordinating implementation with operating departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an expert advisor and consultant to the CITO.
• Provide project-level leadership and management of strategic initiatives on behalf of the CITO.
• Support the CITO’s strategic and operational initiatives to improve technology services and education for City staff and residents.
• Conduct research, coordinate the work of various stakeholders, and develop reports, presentations, memoranda, or other written work-product.
• Serve as a liaison between the Department and other Departments, Divisions, and Offices within City Hall, as well as other governmental entities and external vendors and stakeholders.
• Other duties, as assigned.
