The Opportunity :
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our dynamic team. As an RBT, you will be at the heart of our mission, bringing personalized treatment plans to life under the guidance of experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). You will work directly with clients to enhance communication, social skills, cognitive skills, and daily living skills, making a tangible difference for them and their families.

Requirements
Required :
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing with the BACB. (For exceptional candidates, willingness to receive training and become certified will be considered).
High School Diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age.
Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals with disabilities.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
Preferred :
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Demonstrated understanding of ABA strategies such as DTT, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and PRT.
Bilingual skills are highly valued.
California Specific Requirements :
Background Check : Must pass a comprehensive background check, including Live Scan fingerprinting through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and a check of the Child Abuse Central Index (CACI).
Health Screening : Proof of negative TB test and required immunizations.
Mandated Reporting : Employees are Mandated Reporters under California law and are required to report known or suspected abuse.
Work Environment & Physical Demands :
This role involves working in client home settings.
Must have the ability to stand and circulate for extended periods, and perform physical requirements which may include lifting up to 40 lbs, kneeling, running, and quick body movements.
The position requires the ability to manage moderate to high stress levels and potential exposure to clients exhibiting physically aggressive or self-abusive behaviors.
Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for reading materials, observing clients, and understanding speech at normal conversational levels is required.
Work Schedule and Transportation :
This is a part-time or full-time position with flexible scheduling options. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, between 8 : 00 AM and 7 : 00 PM, with occasional weekend work based on client needs.
This role requires up to 100% travel between client locations. Reliable transportation is necessary. A valid driver's license and auto insurance are required only if driving is an essential function of a specific assignment and alternative transportation is not comparable.
Benefits
Pay Scale : Nexus Therapies reasonably expects to pay for this position is $23.00 to $28.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will be based on factors including experience, education, certification level, and geographic location.
